In the early stage of its debut, 4-cylinder Twin Cam turbo and PRV V6 were arranged for Japanese market. Transmission for the turbo model was 5MT only, and it was fiercely fast in spite of its gentle appearance. Its base was FIAT twin-cam unit to which LANCIA added original balance shaft. It was boosted up with inter-cooled turbo charger to achieve maximum 165 HP/5,500rmp, 26.0kg/2,500rpm. Its high performance was hardly imagined by its big body and the capacity of 2.0 liter, however it was far superior to the rivals with the records of maximum speed 220km/h and 0-400m 15's seconds.
